Determining Values
Unless you sell the same things over and over you need a way to determine the value of what you plan to sell. In the old days that meant a trip to the library and/or the purchase of price guides.
Ebay now provides a better way. Almost everything gets sold on Ebay and if you are registered there you can use the advanced search to look up what things sold for in the last 30 days. If you are willing to pay, you can sign up for a service that goes back farther.
I find that if I have an item which I know little or nothing about I can usually guess a few terms that will show me auctions for stuff like the item I have. That gives me the terms I need to go to the advanced search and narrow down the results to something useful.
